The title of the tool | Aeroplane |
The learning objective of the tool | Competition, decision making, concentration |
Target Group | Everyone |
Duration of the Tool | Depending of the number of participants |
Preparation (Preparation before the implementation, needed materials etc.) | For this tool we need suitable floor for drawing with chulk, chulk, flat pebble |
Instructions to implement the tool | It is a group game, smaller groups; two, three, maximum four players. We can have one leader to decide who is first, second,… Draw the fields (roughly in the shape of an airplane) and mark them with numbers. Let’s find a pebble that should be pleasantly round and flat. Then we line up to throw a pebble. We throw a pebble in the middle of the first field, when the pebble lies in it, we bounce the pony and back in front of the plane. Until we make a “mistake”; this happens if we step on a line or across it from a field or across a line. If we have made a “mistake”, we withdraw to the next in line. We jump into a single field with one foot and into a double with both at the same time. At the turn we turn in a jump. The important thing is to never jump to the line. At the top of the plane is home or heaven. We can rest in it (on both legs, turn in a jump, jump with one leg or do not rest at all). The winner is the one who comes home first. |
Skills – SDGs – Key Competences Chart | Social competence, social skills to resolve the conflict by talking (whether the pebble was on the line or not). |
Sum Up / Debriefing / Reflection at the end of the implementation | We ask participants if they have ever played this game. How did they felt during the game? On what basis did the leader determine the order? Do participants think the order is fair? Was there a conflict between the order and the game? If so, how did they save him? If not, what do they think is the best way to solve it? |
Any tips / suggestions to the trainers for the further implementations | You can draw as many fields as you want and adjust the size of the field to the type of the group. |
