The title of the tool | Let´s twist again |
The learning objective of the tool | Competition, planning, self- confidence |
Target Group | Everyone |
Duration of the Tool | 90 minutes |
Preparation (Preparation before the implementation, needed materials etc.) | To run this tool, we need space, a Twister floor mat, and a table of contents. |
Instructions to implement the tool | Participants are divided into groups of 2, one man and one woman in each group. Than we introduce the rules. A spinner is attached to a square board and is used to determine where the player has to put their hand or foot. The spinner is divided into four labeled sections: left foot, right foot, left hand, and right hand. Each of those four sections are divided into the four colors (red, yellow, green, and blue). After spinning, the combination is called (for example: “right hand yellow”) and players must move their matching hand or foot to a circle of the correct color. The winner is the person who lasts the longest without falling. |
Skills – SDGs – Key Competences Chart | Social competence |
Sum Up / Debriefing / Reflection at the end of the implementation | In the end of the game we ask participants if they think that victory is related to gender. If they don´t think that it is related to gender then what is related with? If they think that it is related with gender then why? We can ask them also If they changed their mind after finishing the game. We can ans men if they were sure about their winning? We can ask women if they did not believe in their victorybecause they were not confident enough. |
Any tips / suggestions to the trainers for the further implementations | We can adjust the game according to the type and number of participants. If the participants are not 1 man and 1 woman in a pair, the winner of the first game can be used for the next pair. |
