The title of the tool | Parachute |
L’objectif d’apprentissage de l’outil | -Cooperate and oppose individually or collectively-Accept various constraints-To situate oneself in a space-Respect a rhythm |
Target Group | women far from employment and training |
Duration of the Tool | 15/30 min |
Preparation (Preparation before the implementation, needed materials etc.) | Equipment : – large parachute |
Instructions to implement the tool | Method:1. Participants are evenly distributed in a circle – holding the edge.2. Stretch the parachute and lower it from knee level to the ground.3. At the signal, the parachute rises upwards; it fills with air and rises like a giant mushroom (in winter it is called “IGLOO”).VARIATION OF THE MUSHROOM: Once you have mastered the basic game, experiment! 1. One mushroom, then all the kids run to the center still holding the parachute. 2. A mushroom is made and all participants are asked to release the parachute at exactly the same time. If there is no wind, the parachute will keep its perfect puff shape and rise straight up into the air. This is especially fun outdoors on windy days. Indoors, it can go up to the ceiling. |
Skills – SDGs – Key Competences Chart | SDG 4 quality education |
Sum Up / Debriefing / Reflection at the end of the implementation | What was one of the main challenges during the game? What is one positive thing that happened during the challenge?– What did you learn? How did you feel during the activity |
Any tips / suggestions to the trainers for the further implementations | Tip 1: To keep the parachute as high as possible, all participants take a few steps toward the center as the parachute rises.Tip 2: Practice together so that kids learn cooperation and group work. |
