The title of the toolDance with Intelligence
The learning objective of the toolStimulating Creativity, Emotional intelligence, and self-awareness through body movement
Target GroupIt is advised to practice this exercise with ten people.
Duration of the Tool90 minutes, including reflection for a group of 10 people that includes the trainer.
Preparation (Preparation before the implementation, needed materials etc.)An accessible place for people with different physical abilities. A speaker for music. Comfortable and warm place.
Instructions to implement the toolWe start with warming up, asking the participants to explore the space, to move in the space to activate their sensations, visual, touch, and smell. The second step is guided meditation: Inform the participants to find a place where they feel comfortable Invite them to relax and focus on their breathing process Ask them to search for things they are proud of, good deeds they did, positive things they appreciate in themselves and etc. Slowly invite them to breathe in and out all these positive feelings in the form of light filling their surroundings and to open their eyes when they are ready. The third step is dance and movements: Continue with the same rhythm asking participants to transform the feelings they experienced into improvised movements, dancing, and expressing through the body.   The fourth step is to divide the participants into smaller groups of two to three: Ask each participant to choose three movements and teach them to the rest of the group. Ask each group to rehearse each set of movements creating a group dance. Each group will present their dance to the wider group.   After each performance, we have a discussion on what the audience felt and what these movements represent, then each group shares the feelings they wanted to express through their dance.

Sum Up / Debriefing / Reflection at the end of the implementationAsk the participants to reflect on the way they felt and why. How was the process for them? Do they feel different after this exercise, and why? What was the most challenging part and why? What was the easiest part and why? Then you may move slowly to evaluation, where the participants find common paths with real life or situations in real life. Does current reality make us aware of our bodies, or it makes us neglect it, etc.?
Any tips / suggestions to the trainers for the further implementationsYou may present some theory on the importance of body dance and movement for empathy and emotional intelligence; this depends on the needs and age group of your participants. Dance with your participants as a host, and do not boss them as an observer.
